Like most girls, Fall is my favorite fashion season! And living in the Midwest, the weather is already starting to change! But do you have your wardrobe ready? In this post, I will share my 20 Fall fashion finds that every girl needs. These essentials are classic, timeless, and perfect for me and my homegirls.

20 Fall fashion finds every girl needs

Jackets

What is Fall without jackets? And if you live somewhere where the temps drop, like me, then jackets are not only fashionable; they are essential! In my opinion, there are four jackets that every girl needs: leather (faux of course), denim, trench, and camouflage. I love jackets with almost every outfit because they keep you warm, allow you to layer, and add a little bit more bougie-ness to every look. Here are some options for Fall jackets that every girl needs. Click the picture to shop the look!

Fringe

I don’t care what anyone says, fringe is ALWAYS a look! I’m a sucker for fringe bags, jackets, and even jewelry! Although fringe is a little more on the trendy side, I think it can be classic depending on how it’s worn. And nowadays, it is so easy to find fringe that is not made from animal products, so that makes it even better! Fringe can be added to any type of outfit with ease. I love it worn casually, classy, and even trendy. Click the picture to shop the look!

Booties

Really, what is Fall fashion without booties?! And there are so many different kinds: flat, heel, plain, patterned, open-toed, you name it! Booties are comfortable, classic, and cute; and, because they come in such variety, they can be worn with any and all types of fits. Click the picture to shop the look!

Hats

Fedoras and beanies and berets, oh my! I love hats! And I think they add to almost any look. Personally, the big, floppy Fedora is my favorite Fall hat, but there are so many to choose from. (Not to mention, they are perfect for bad hair days or when you’re too lazy to lay your wig). Click the picture to shop the look!

Combat Boots

Okay, I’m a little biased here because I probably have more combat boots than the average girl, but I think they are so cute! I’ve loved them since I was a little girl in the 90’s, and I love them now! Something about a combat boot with a crushed velvet dress just screams Fall to me. But, they are also perfect for Pumpkin Farms, Apple Orchards, and Drive-in movie theaters. Trust me, you definitely need some! Click the picture to shop the look!

Scarves

I LOVE scarves! I seriously have so many scarves, I couldn’t even tell you how many. And although I wear scarves year-round, Fall is the perfect time to incorporate blanket scarves and infinity scarves. Like many of the fashion finds I’ve already mentioned, scarves go well with any outfit if you pair them well, and they are a great investment, especially if you get a good deal on them. Boots

I already mentioned booties, but boots are equally important! I love a good pair of riding boots, thigh high boots, or rain boots! They are cute with casual, professional, and dressy outfits, and they keep you warm. And honestly, would there even be Fall fashion without boots? I don’t think so! Oh! And make sure they are faux leather because we are NOT about killing animals for fashion over here, okay? Click the picture to shop the look!

Leggings

Need I say more? Leggings are a fashion staple–PERIOD! Is there a season that you don’t need leggings? But in Fall, I particularly love fleece-lined, colorful, patterned, and textured leggings. Not only do they keep your legs warm, but they are perfect for going under dresses, long flannels, oversized sweaters/cardigans, and pretty much everything else. Whoever said “diamonds are a girl’s best friend” must have never worn leggings! Click the picture to shop the look!

Oversized Sweaters

Speaking of oversized sweaters, could there really be Fall fashion without them? I don’t think so! They are so cute, comfy, cozy, and easy to style! You can put almost zero effort into an outfit, but with a good oversized sweater, you can look so chic. Imagine, leggings, an oversized sweater, riding boots, and a denim jacket draped over your shoulder…easy! But, you look like you took the time to put it together. And if you’re looking for some inexpensive ones, Goodwill, Salvation Army, and other second-hand stores always have amazing options for the low-low. Thank me later. Turtlenecks

There was actually a time where I HATED turtlenecks! Honestly, I did not really start wearing them until last year. I know, it sounds crazy, especially because now a I am naming them essentials! I think by now we all know how chic a plain turtleneck can be, and they look cute with jeans, joggers, or skirts. They just work, okay? And even better than turtleneck shirts are turtleneck bodysuits. They are absolutely perfect for looking snatched in high waisted jeans. Basically, invest in a few plain turtlenecks, and you’ll have outfits for days. Click the picture to shop the look!

Long Cardigans

Long cardigans are essential to fall fashion. (At least, that’s what I tell myself when I buy more of them) They are another staple that can go with any type of outfit–casual, professional, classy, or anything else! Long cardigans make any outfit look better than what it actually is. And, you can try a variety of colors, patterns, and fabrics to switch it up. The possibilities are endless! Animal Print

I have a love-hate relationship with animal print. When worn correctly, it can be chic and sophisticated, but when worn incorrectly…think Jersey Shore circa 2009. Nevertheless, I am including it in this list of Fall fashion finds every girl needs. Animal print cardigans, turtlenecks, and booties are so stylish, and they can instantly spice up any boring outfit. If you’re new to animal print, start with something small like a scarf or a pair of loafers, and work your way up. Just don’t get too carried away, alright? Click the picture to shop the look!

Jewel Tones

I LOVE jewel tones, especially for accessories! Jewel toned headband, jewelry, or even nails can really set your look apart from everyone else’s. And jewel toned velvet is just to DIE for! There’s just something a little magical about these deep, rich colors, so don’t be afraid to experiment with them. Click the picture to shop the look!

Loafers and Oxfords

I promise, this is the last shoe item on this list, but I would be remiss if I didn’t mention loafers and oxfords on a post about Fall fashion finds! If you’re not a heels or boots girl, these comfy showstoppers are for you! Every time I wear loafers or oxfords, I get TONS of compliments. I try to find some that are unique–whether that means cutouts, patterns, or different textures on one shoe. And, they make an outfit look much more refined than it would look with my low-top Converse. Do you like loafers and oxfords? If so, click the picture to shop the look!

Flannels

I don’t know if it’s the Midwest girl in me, but I am OBSESSED with flannels! Currently, my collection stands at 14 flannels, and to me, they are all different. There’s just something about a flannel that screams Fall to me! I love them for outdoor activities like pumpkin farms and apple orchards, but they can also be dressed up for a date night. Oh! And flannels tied around the waist give that perfect “I woke up like this” vibe. Click the picture to shop the look!

Jumpsuits

I love a good jumpsuit, and I know I’m not the only one! They are perfect when it’s too cold for a maxi dress, but you still want to be professional, classy, and comfy. There are all types of jumpsuits ranging from casual to chic, and honestly, I love them all. If you’re petite like me, it may be harder to find one that isn’t dragging on the floor, but if you know how to do a little sewing, you’re in there girl! Click the picture to shop the look!

Denim

Obviously, jeans are essential for all seasons, but there are a few options that I particularly love for Fall: mom jeans, dark denim, and ankle-length. I’m pretty sure those are the basics for all seasons, but I just had to include them. My favorite places to shop for jeans are Old Navy and Target because they fit all my curves to a T! Where are your go-to jeans places? (Asking for a friend) Click the picture to shop the look!

Button Down Skirt

I’ve been seeing these for a couple of years, and they are just so adorable! I only own one, but I definitely need to find more! These little skirts are perfect to wear with sweaters, turtlenecks, and florals. And there are so many to choose from! Do I want denim, corduroy, leather…? Maybe I want them all! And with some cute leggings or tights? Girl, that is a look! Click the picture to shop the look!

Tights

I live in the Midwest, and honestly, it’s already time for tights! And I’m not talking about little girl Easter Sunday tights; they make some really cute ones! You can literally find any pattern or color you need, and I am here for it! I love getting jewel toned tights to amp up a basic outfit, and I need black and brown ones for my other outfits. And if you’re wearing booties, oxfords, or loafers, you definitely don’t want that little sliver of ankle that shows with a pair of leggings! So get you a pair of tights, girl! Fall Florals

Last but not least is Fall florals. I love florals, and they don’t have to stop in the Fall! There are beautiful yellow, golden, orange, and red florals that can carry you into December. Floral dresses, shirts, and skirts can definitely help you stand out, so why not add some into your wardrobe? Click the picture to shop the look!

Well, that is it! Those are all of my Fall fashion finds that every girl needs. I do have a few honorable mentions however: wedges, maxi dresses, crushed velvet, and corduroy didn’t make it to the list, but they definitely could have. What are your Fall fashion favorites?
